God's Country Camo

Quiet, durable, plenty of pockets and the camo pattern are on my list when it comes to selecting a new set of camo.

Both, the shirt and pants are made from a good blend of 60% cotton, 40% polyester brushed twill to help rid unwanted moisture. I found the fabric very quiet and comfortable and loaded with pockets. The shirt has two traditional breast pockets and an additional sleeve pocket for a small flashlight or pen. The pants have two front pockets, two rear pockets with button-flap closures, two bellows cargo pockets with button-flap closures, adjustable waistbands and drawstring hems. For the tree stand dweller, the pants have a handy bow sling attached to the left leg cargo pocket. In the west, a backpack has become an essential part of my gear. Wearing a backpack (with a hip belt) begs the question, “since I can’t have anything attached to my pants belt, what do I do with my knife?” Attached to me would be my choice. Located on the pack would work under most situations, but when you need it handy, on the pack may not be the best answer. Kurt and the gang at God’s Country Camo have answered this question by adding a knife pocket built into the right leg cargo pocket – a pocket within a pocket.

But what about the pattern? While our goal as hunters is to stay concealed in the dark timber, that’s not always possible. If you don’t have light colors in your camo pattern, you can appear, to an animal, as a well defined dark blob. This pattern is ideal for fall bow hunts in the aspens.

One of the best parts are the Christian symbols that remind me of my faith. The Ichthys (the Christian fish) and wooden crosses can be found nicely placed throughout the pattern – thus, when you wear GCC, you wear your faith on your sleeve.

Watch for the following patterns in the future: GCC Avalanche™, GCC Rangeland™, GCC Reeds & Weeds™, GCC Timber Line™, and GCC Safety Blaze.

I'll see you on the mountain.

Roger
